What you need to apply for a work, study, business or visitor visa abroad — prepared for Rwandan residents.
📌 Required for every application
- • Valid passport — at least 6 months validity beyond your intended stay, with blank pages for the visa
- • Recent passport-size photograph to the destination's specification (usually white background)
- • Proof of funds — personal or sponsor bank statements for the last 3–6 months
- • Employment letter, payslips or business registration showing your ties to Rwanda
- • Flight itinerary and proof of accommodation for the whole trip
- • Travel medical insurance (mandatory for Schengen, strongly advised for every destination)
- • Attendance at biometrics, an interview or a visa centre appointment where the destination requires it
Government and consular fees are paid to the embassy or visa centre. The Rwanda Gate service fee and 18% VAT are paid to us. All amounts are in Rwandan Francs.
